About the workshop:

  • The need for the workshop. If there is something omnipresent in today’s world-- it is STRESS! It is there with executives, housewives, businessmen, students and even children. As per an estimate, more than 80% diseases from which people are suffering today all over the world are stress related. People who claim to have known no stress in life often collapse one day like a well-polished termite-ridden furniture—ironically on account of the unknown terrorist in their lives—the stress that they had turned their back on! Organizations will sit up and start thinking if only someone could show them the mirror and quantify the direct and indirect losses incurred on account of stress. Just as it is difficult for water to flow through a twisted pipe, it is difficult for any one to give his best if he is stressed. Most of the organizations and people take stress for granted, accepting it as inevitable, though nothing can be further from the truth. Just like any other skill like dancing, cycling and swimming, one can also learn to lead a stress free blissful life.

  • The workshop discusses how most of the stress in our life is caused not by what happens to us but by how we respond to what happens to us. It also shares proven techniques based on decades of research to enable us to solve the problems in our lives that we can and to make us learn to live with those that we cannot. This is the only workshop one will ever need to attend to ensure a stress free living for the whole life.

  • How this workshop is different from those on the same subject: The beauty of this workshop is that unlike other workshops on the subject, it realizes that the participant is already hard pressed for time. A major chunk of prescriptions for stress management in this workshop can be woven into one’s daily chores and do not need earmarking any extra time. Most of the suggestions from the workshop, therefore, can be incorporated in the participant’s life simply by changing the way he attempts to do his normal routine chores. The rest of the suggestions need only an investment of a few minutes every day.  Instead of confusing the participant with tens of activities that ought to be done, the workshop guides the participant to chalk out a personalized, easy, and pragmatic blue print in the form of his own daily schedule to ensure a stress-free blissful life depending upon the amount of time he can (or is willing to) spare for this. The workshop will leave the participant’s heart set on fire with an uncompromising zeal to live each day of his life in accordance with this blue print till it very soon becomes his second nature.

  • It inspires the participant deeply by showing him the mirror and making him aware that life can be better and is only an initiative away. There is always a gap between knowing and putting consistently into practice all that we learn whether from a workshop or whatever other source. This happens because of the inherent inertia and tendency among almost all of us to postpone any thing new that needs effort. I have studied closely and persevered through all these bottlenecks in the last 25 years of my own life and I therefore can guide the participant with my own experience to navigate through all kinds of pitfalls and offer him infallible tips on how to stay on the path.

  • Unlike the usual run-of-the-mill programmes, wherein 95 % of what one learns is forgotten quickly, this programme is mnemonic based so as to be retained better,  introspection/self-awareness-driven, and focused on transforming habits (not on merely increasing knowledge–base). The participants get a new way of looking at life with the dissolution of all their limiting beliefs and replacement of the same with more vibrant positive beliefs. The techniques are simple enough and performed by the participants under the guidance of the trainer so as to ensure that they can  do them independently. The programme makes the participants see the futility of some of the common disempowering responses

  • The workshop, through transformation of one’s personal belief system, participative discussion, physical exercises, breathing techniques and meditation shall enable the participants to know

    2. its physical, behavioural and psychological symptoms;

    5. how to manage it

  • Joint loosening exercises, Surya Namaskar and a few simple but vital Yogasanas, Breathing exercises (Pranayama), body awareness, progressive relaxation, simple five step meditation.
  • Strategies to avoid creating stress for yourself.
  • Stress relieving techniques.
  • Saying good bye to absent-mindedness and hello to mindfulness
  • Tips on posture, food, water, digestion and sleep
  • Developing positive attitude. Living with an eternal feeling of gratitude
  • How to keep the momentum alive to stay on the path. Preparing a personalized blue print for living a blissful life.
